New Stuff: International Shipping

Aww yiss. Ever since Sephora left the UK market, and ever since Charlotte Tilbury’s cosmetic line has existed, UK and US folks respectively have been screaming “shut up and take my money!” It looks like both of the companies have decided to satisfy their wannabe customers and offer international shipping (finally!).

In addition to the US and Canada, Sephora now lists the following on their international shipping page:

Sephora offers the following flat rate international shipping costs.
Guaranteed all-inclusive costs (no additional fees at delivery)

Japan: ¥1,500 JPY on orders over ¥10,000 JPY
South Korea: ₩15,000 KRW on orders over ₩100,000 KRW
United Kingdom: £10 GBP on orders over £75 GBP

For orders under the stated threshold above the client pays the actual shipping cost, which will vary by country and order size.

A few UK-based bloggers have made orders and reported that they didn’t get charged any import duties when their packages arrived. Hazardous materials (nail polish, perfume, etc) can’t be shipped by air, and some brands (like Hourglass) are excluded from international shipping.

As for Charlotte Tilbury, they now deliver to the UK, Europe and US, per their shipping page. Sadly Canada is not one of the shipping options. Shipping cost is a pretty hefty £14.95 (~$25), but VAT is deducted from the listed prices. Which means depending on how much stuff you’re buying, the reduction in VAT can more than offset the shipping costs (versus having a UK friend buy and send it). At least, that’s how I’m going to justify going nuts when I eventually order from them!

Are you going to take advantage of your new access to these stores? Whatcha gonna get?
