Review: Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow Part 3 – Tea Rose, Midnight Plum and Mulberry
[cf-shortcode plugin=”acf” field=”affiliate_link”]
This is the last part of my reviews on my Burberry eyeshadow singles – well, at least, the last part until I get more ;-) Like Part 2 it mainly looks at a few more of the colors. Part 1 has all the info on the fancy packaging, wear time, etc. This post looks at the non-neutral shades I have. There’s one important thing to know about the colors in the Burberry eyeshadow range – they tend to be subtle. Burberry’s beauty line is all about sophistication and enhancing your natural beauty, so if you’re looking for bright, dramatic colors that scream “LOOK AT MEEEEE!” – well, this may not be the brand you need. If you want colors that are appropriate for basically any occasion without being over the top, these are for you.
No. 19 – Midnight Plum – Midnight Plum is a deep aubergine shade with a satin finish. Like Midnight Black, it’s somewhere between true matte and shimmer. I like using this one for either a purple smoky look or to add just a hint of color along the lash lines.
No. 11 – Tea Rose – Tea Rose is a soft, cool pink – almost a baby pink. It makes a perfect lid color for a lighter or nude look. The pigmentation is very nice, but the contrast of this particular color against my skin tone is fairly low, which makes it seem to blend in.
No. 24 – Mulberry – Depending on the lighting, Mulberry can appear as a reddened brown or a plummy burgundy. I don’t find myself reaching for it much during the spring and summer, but it’s one of my must-have colors for the colder half of the year.
