Lately I’ve been trying out some different stuff that I’ve been absolutely loving, so here are my top five tried & tested picks to treat yo’ self.

Guerlain Rouge G Customizable Lipsticks ($17.50-$32)

I was pretty bitter about the (seeming) demise of the Guerlain Rouge G lipsticks. I only had one because they’re pricey, but boy do I love mine (Grenade, reviewed here). Then a few days ago I saw via Temptalia that they’ve been relaunched – but this time with 30 lipstick colors ($32/each) and 14 mix-and-match case designs ($17.50/each). And let me tell you, they are gorgeous! I literally did set an alarm for this launch so I could snag the Very Batik (blue art deco print) and Miami Glam (pink leather) cases before there was any chance of them selling out. I also got the lipstick in #21 because why not? If you’re not sure what color to get, Temptalia also has swatches of all the shades but one.

Sunday Riley U.F.O. ($40-$80)

I mentioned this already in my post about 5 things I love, but it’s worth repeating. I’ve used up nearly half of the smaller size bottle by now, and I’m definitely going to grab the full size as a backup. Yes, it smells like cumin but it’s unbelievable how much it’s helped with my congested pores.  Unlike most salicylic acid products I’ve tried in the past, it doesn’t dry me out a bit. I’m willing to accept a little eau de taco for those kind of results.

Dior Lacquer Plump ($37)

Normally I wouldn’t put two different lip products in a top five list, but here’s the thing – I really think the new Dior Lacquer Plumps are worth trying out, and what better time to grab one or five? I got Dancefloor a couple weeks ago, and it’s great! It’s lightweight, but a little more moisturizing than the Dior Lip Tattoos (which I also adore). It has a slight plumping effect without the tingle, and glossy, vivid color that leaves a long-wearing stain. Bonus points for not being even a tiny bit sticky.

Sephora Favorites Fragrance Samplers ($25-$65)

Sephora’s fragrance samplers are one of the best values out there, particularly if you like to experiment with different options or you’re new to the perfume game. Not only do you get the chance to try out a whole slew of fragrances, they all come with a certificate that you can redeem for a full size (bottle or rollerball, depending on the set), so you get a full supply of whichever one is your favorite. Usually the cost of the set is less than a bottle of whatever you redeem it for, and when you take 10-15% off of that? Score!

Amika Might Mini Jet Set Kit ($80)

This set is a dream if you like to pack light when you’re traveling but refuse to go without your hair styling tools. The hair dryer & straightener aren’t quite as powerful or fully featured as full size equivalents would be, but they get the job done really nicely without taking up a quarter of your suitcase. The fact that it comes with diffuser & concentrator attachments is a huge perk that you don’t find with all compact hair tools.
