A cumulative haul

I usually do a video for bigger hauls, but this month quite a few new things seem to have dribbled in slowly. I didn’t really mean for it to happen that way, but there were some GWPs I didn’t have the mental strength to resist, along with some new releases I’ve been waiting for. So yeah, before I knew it, this happened:
Rouge Bunny Rouge Diaphanous Impalpable Finishing Powder – I’ve heard soooo many good things about this, and I’m on a powder kick, so there ya go.
Make Up For Ever HD Powder – Right, so I used to have this a long time ago and it didn’t really excite me too much, so I think I either swapped it or gave it to someone. But, I know some folks were interested in how the RBR powder compares to MUFE HD, so I went ahead and got a travel size of it. More on that soon, maybe even tomorrow.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-Lasting Matte Eyeshadow in Blackpepper Jay – When I did my RBR swatches, I knew right away that I had to have this color. Not because I’m in dire need of more neutral eyeshadows or anything, but this is a really nice mix of brown/grey/black that so far looks great with every eyeshadow combination I’ve tried it with.
Laura Mercier Velour Powder Puff – Now that my skin has chilled with the breakouts, I’m not quite as grossed out as I used to be by the idea of a powder puff, and picked this one up to try with my fancy new RBR powder. Unfortunately, I didn’t take the container with me for size comparision, and it turns out this powder puff is huge. So the obvious answer I guess is to get a bigger jar of powder….
Rouge Bunny Rouge Fire Drops Glitter Pigment in Caress of Mink – Another one of those “yes, I’m going to buy this” products from RBR swatch-fest 2014. Which is odd, because I hate loose pigments. These come in a really interesting container though, and it’s much less messy than a jar or sifter.
Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Golden Mink – I’ve been wanting this for ages but never grabbed it because two of the shades are glitter, and that’s an awful lot of glitter. A friend was looking to swap though, so of course I volunteered to give it a good home. It’s not necessarily one I would have bought at full price, but now that I have it I can see myself getting a lot of mileage out of it.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Ceramic Bunny – So, uh, yeah. This is one of the GWPs I was talking about. I hadn’t planned on making an order quite so soon, but when I saw they were sending out the bunnies I couldn’t resist – they’re so freakin’ adorable! Now I wonder if they ever give out the black one, like they have on their blog.
NARS Deep Throat mini blush – Another one of those must-have GWPs. I’ve never swatched it in person before, but the pictures online looked so pretty! Then when I opened it up and swatched it, I was like “oh shit, I bet this is too frosty.” But then I wore it, and I’m back in love. It’s not totally matte, but it’s not a glitterbomb either – basically it’s everything I wanted Orgasm to be. Also, I kind of think all blushes should be this size, then I might have a chance of actually using them up.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Metamorphoses Mattifying Primer – I was curious if this would be a similar texture to Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, and it is not. I haven’t worn it enough to draw any conclusions about its performance, but I have high hopes for it.
Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Eau de Parfum – This came as a deluxe sample with one of my Sephora orders. I added it on a whim because I knew it was fairly new, and I’m so glad I did! I’ve been reaching for it every day since I got it. I also love that the mini bottle looks like the full size one.
NARS 413 BLKR Blush – Holy pigmentation guys. Seriously. This is a really gorgeous, wearable color but I realized very quickly that I need to proceed with caution if I don’t want to look like I’m running a dangerously high fever. But if you’ve ever used the brighter NARS blushes, you already know that.
Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black mini rollerball – Gonna be honest, I wouldn’t have bought this, but Sephora had it as a points perk. It’s a really nice fragrance, but as it dries down (on me, at least) the vanilla in it is a bit overpowering. I still like it enough to wear occasionally though, so here it is.
Kenzo Amour I <3 U – This was the result of my quest for a spring/summer fragrance during Sephora’s triple points fragrance event. It’s very light and fresh, and not too floral. I do wish it lasted a little bit longer on me, but I put some in a purse spray for when I want to touch up in the afternoons. Also, how gorgeous is that bottle? Oddly enough I can’t find it on the Sephora website anymore to link to, but obviously it still exists in some stores.
Givenchy Poudre Terre Exotique Healthy Glow Powder – I’m not a big user of bronzer, so this was kind of a big splurge for me. I’ve swatched it, but actually haven’t played with it too much yet. It’s been chilly the past few days, so the bronzed goddess look doesn’t really seem appropriate. Soon though, soon.
Is there anything you’d rather hear about first? What new pretty things did you pick up this month?
