Anastasia Comparison – Part 2
Earlier this week I compared three brow products from Anastasia Beverly Hills – you can check it out here if you missed it. One of my instagram friends asked to see a brow done with each one, so wish granted! By the way, please pardon the mascara flakes – I took these after an extra-long day at work. Also, Chanel Inimitable Intense flakes like mad, just so ya know.
Powder Duo:
I can actually fake a pretty decent-looking brow with the powder, but unfortunately it just doesn’t last all the way through the day on bare skin. Over hair it does fine though.
Dipbrow:
For filling in hair, I love this stuff. It can be a little tricky to get the bare areas to match my hair without totally overdoing it, though.
Dipbrow + Powder:
Solution: Layer just a tiny bit of the lighter powder color over the Dipbrow, which evens out the color pretty nicely. Since I apply both of these with a brush and then comb through with a spoolie, the edges are fairly soft.
Brow Wiz:
Out of all three, the Brow Wiz disguises the transition between bare skin and hair the best. The fine tip makes a more defined edge, which I like, but it doesn’t look quite as natural unless you comb over the edges pretty carefully. This is the one I reach for the most.
What are your favorite brow things?

April 24, 2014 at 11:05 amI really the brow wiz too but I find the colour is a bit off for me. I prefer the colour of MAC Fling but like the formula of the brow wiz better.
Good review, like that you had comparison pics!

April 25, 2014 at 10:45 amOh, I hate when the color doesn’t quite match! That was me with the Hourglass brow pencil – it was just too red. I wonder if one of the NARS Brow Perfectors might work for you? The formula is similar to the Brow Wiz, but the tip of the pencil is wider.

April 25, 2014 at 10:47 amAlways glad to help! Obviously I’m a fan of the brand too :-) I’d love to try out their contour palette too – I’m just waiting for it to show up at Sephora so I can swatch it first!

April 25, 2014 at 12:42 pmI think I might get the powder duo for my mom. Have you tried the powder duo over an eye primer? That might help it last longer.
Nikki
April 25, 2014 at 1:44 pmYup, it definitely does last longer over an eye primer, but the other ones just look good for much longer on me.
